I composed the shots to make each role and movement look striking, while also conveying the family’s sense of unity. Since we couldn’t set up strobe equipment on the sacred stage, I had each person hold a single strobe to provide lighting, and we shot the session in five separate rounds. I combined the shots with the optimal exposure for each person into a single image by making full use of layer masks.
I also shot the surrounding background in separate layers and combined them into a single image using the Brenizer Method.
