FOREMOST, IPA X PX3 X MING CHUAN UNIVERSITY ART CENTER PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

The first-ever collaboration between International Photography Competition and Higher Education Institution in Taiwan

Celebrating the 65th anniversary of MCU, the institution and ARTAO are cohosting a photo exhibition tour featuring works of IPA and PX3 winners. MCU faculty and alumni who have won photography awards or are professional photographers have also been invited to share how photography has enriched their lives. The MCU participants span generations and come from different backgrounds, but share one thing in common: they document life through a viewfinder.

THE ANNUAL PX3 & “STATE OF THE WORLD EXHIBITION” IN PARIS, FRANCE

The exhibition showed the photographic work of 1st and 2nd place PX3 category winners and the “State of the World” Curatorial selection from 2020 and 2021. The projector showed gold, Silver, and Bronze winners.

With more than 120 outstanding photographs on display, visitors enjoyed the powerful visual stories and many different perspectives of the most important global events. Juried by leaders in the photography industry, the Annual PX3 & “State of the World” Exhibition brought the best of photography from across the globe to Paris!

PX3 2018/2019 WINNERS AT FOREMOST IN OKINAWA, JAPAN

The Px3 2018 and 2019 winners were exhibited in Okinawa, Japan from the 16th to the 30th January, 2020. Presenting over 230 printed photographic works, this major exhibition also featured International Photography Awards “Best of Show ” 2018/2019 and State of the World winners, Tokyo International Foto Awards 2018 and a projection of Moscow International Foto Awards winners for 2019.

We would like to thank everyone who joined us at the largest exhibition featuring the IPA “Best of Show” among the photography world’s emerging stars, covering a variety of genres from advertising to editorial to fine art, showing how photographers impact the world with their images. The opening festivities were held on January 16th, in the ballrooms of Hotel Collective Naha and were attended by luminaries such as the Mayor of Okinawa and Founder of IPA and the Lucie Foundation, Hossein Farmani.

PX3 2019 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

PX3 (Paris Photo Prize) showed a selection of its 13th edition winners in a curated exhibition at the Espace Beaurepaire, from Tuesday 9th till Sunday 14th of July, 2019.

The exhibition gathered the winning photographs (1st and 2nd place) from PX3 2019, the curated exhibition “State of the World” and a projection of others PX3 winning images ( Gold / Silver / Bronze). “State of the World” Curator was Anna Sansom, a British-born but Paris-based journalist, editor and photography curator.

The 2019 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Gabriele Cecconi  for the moving photo documentary series “The Wretched and the Earth” and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Sandra Herber for her work “Ice Fishing Huts”.

 

PX3 2018 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

PX3 (Paris Photo Prize) showed a selection of its 12th edition winners in a curated exhibition at the Espace Beaurepaire (Paris 75010), from July 10th  to July 14th, 2018. The exhibition featured more than 30 winning photographs from the PX3 2018 competition and a special projection of the International Photography Awards (IPA) “Best of Show” 2018.

The 2018 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Lauren Greenfield (USA) for the photo documentary series “Generation Wealth” and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Mushfiqul Alam (Bangladesh) for his moving work “The Great Exodus: People with no land”.

PX3 2017 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

PX3 Paris Photography Prize proudly presented a curated selection of the winners of its 11th edition in a special exhibition at the Espace Beaurepaire (Paris 75010) in 2017 from July 11th to July 15th.  The exhibition showed more than 30 of the winning photographs from PX3 2017.

Isabelle Perrachi, former ballerina with the Paris Opéra, was a guest curator for this PX3 exhibition, and her selection of images was strongly influenced by one of her biggest passions–beauty of movement.

The 2017 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Jonathan Bachman (USA) for his captivating image, “Protestor’s Eyes” and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Luca Izzo (Italy) for his artistic and intimate series, “Desformes”.

PX3 2016 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

PX3 celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2016–a decade of discovering and sharing the best of photography from around the world with the artistic community of Paris and beyond! Highlighting this achievement was the curated exhibition featuring winning images of PX3’s 2016 photography competition, which took place at the Espace Beaurepaire (Paris 75010) from July 12th to July 17th, 2016.

The 2016 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Sergey Ponomarev (Russia) for his work covering “Europe’s Refugee Crisis”, and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Leslie Hall Brown (USA) for her Fine Art photography series, “Muse”.

PX3 2015 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

The 9th edition of PX3 had its annual exhibition at the Espace Beaurepaire (Paris 75010) from July 13th to July 16th, 2015. In addition to the featured images of the annual Px3 competition main winners, guest curator Niccolò Hébel also selected 20 special photographs from among the year’s prize-winning entries to be included in the exhibition as well.

The 2015 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Sebastiano Tomada (USA) for the powerful series “Aleppo’s Last Hope”, and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Rob Gregory (USA) for the spectacular images in his work, “RIC Hornets”.

PX3 2014 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

The 8th edition of the Paris Photo Prize was held at the Espace Beaurepaire (Paris 75010) from July 15th to 19th, 2014. Beside showcasing the year’s award-winning images, the exhibition also included the personal selection of two guest curators, collector Bill Hunt and New York Times editor Daphné Anglès.

The 2014 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Mohammad Ali Berno (Iran) for the provocative series “The Last Moment”, and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Giorgio Bianchi (Italy) for his images covering the “Battle in Kiev”.

PX3 2013 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

The PX3 2013 Annual Exhibition featured the competition’s main winners and the curated selection of Dimitri Beck Carte Blanche, Editor-in-Chief of Polka magazine. The exhibition was held at the Espace Dupon (Paris 75018), from July 10th to July 13th, 2013.

The 2013 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Shin Yahiro (Japan) for the series “Battle of Aleppo”, and the Best New Talent of the Year Grand Prize was awarded to Pierre Pellegrini (Switzerland) for his beautifully captured image, “Tenderly Together”.

PX3 2012 WINNERS EXHIBITION IN PARIS

The 6th edition of the Paris Photo Prize annual exhibition was held at the Espace Dupon (Paris 75018), from June 10th to July 17th.

Among the featured artists were the 2012 PX3 Photographer of the Year Grand Prize winner, Jonathan Knowles (United Kingdom) who was awarded for his spectacular series “Liquid Beauty”, and the Best New Talent of the Year winner, Miguel Candela (Spain) who took the prize for his social commentary and expose, “Brothels”.
