Mongolian eagle hunters are Kazakhs who migrated to Mongolia and brought with them their tradition of hunting on horseback with golden eagles. Man and horse are one mobile unit. The eagle hunters are revered.
Each October, the Kazakh eagle hunting customs are displayed at the annual Golden Eagle Festival. Sports are held to show the skills and bravery of the eagle hunters.
The contest to pick up two coin bags at full gallop requires perfect balance for both man and horse, showing them as one.

The pandemic prompted a rethink of life and fired a desire to travel, see and understand the world. Travelling the world to open my eyes and mind, I strive to use my amateurish skill to capture the human condition through the lens.
