This series captures horses who once stood in the spotlight—as racehorses or stars of cinema and television—and who now live quietly away from public view. Their styled manes and tails are not for nostalgia but to reintroduce them as dignified beings in a second life. Rather than mourning past glory, the work celebrates their enduring strength and quiet beauty. Each portrait honors their memory and presence, blending past and present. These horses become symbols of resilience, transformation, and timeless grace.

beauty, fashion, and portrait photography.

Career Overview

2007 Returned to Japan and established my base in Tokyo.

1999 Began working as a fashion photographer in London, UK.

1997 Worked as first assistant to Master Nick Knight, Fashion Photographer, in London.

1996 Moved to London, UK.

1994 Worked as an assistant to Master Kei Ogata, Fashion Photographer.

1991 Joined Sasaki Studio, a commercial photography company, in Tokyo.
