CAKE
In 1765, Rousseau coined the phrase "Let them eat cake." Today, it references frivolous disregard for another's plight, like the one created by tone-deaf politicos and bogus court rulings giving way to the unthinkable: women being denied life-saving and compassionate reproductive care, endangering our lives and future child-bearing abilities. Yet my head hears only the "cake" speech. What year is this?
These imaginary "everywomen" are engaged in the battle against these new and distressing societal restrictions, a visual testament to our hearts, minds, and untold disenchantment stories.
