The Photographic Project "Forsaken Places" is inspired by the timelessness of an abandoned space-place that encloses the narration of human stories. It essentially presents the "psychogram" of an abandoned place through the "conceptual framework".
Space is a place of encounter with the reality that contains it. Each place is a unique world. Familiar or unfamiliar, with a nostalgic atmosphere, echotopia or with the identity of a memory, it is undoubtedly subjectively perceived but existent for whoever is in it. However, his narrative involves the "world space"
Ypatia Kornarou was born in Athens where she takes pictures and lives. She firstly studied economics and continued her studies in photography.
The year 2023 was a creative one as her works took part in international group exhibitions in the heart of Europe, at the center of art and culture: Paris – Imagenation Paris, London – Rosl Royal Arts
In March 2024 she held her first solo exhibition entitled “Phenomenon” in Russia, in the city of Nizhny Tagil at Gallery Space Place. On June 2nd, the photography exhibition “Phenomenon” will transfer to the Museum of Fine Arts in Nizhny Tagil, Russia.
