On a day that dawned on a sea of ice floes, I set out to photograph an eagle. I chose the best light and framing to emphasize the power of the eagle as it came toward me.
Ryo Utsunomiya mainly photographs wildlife, nature, and concerts. He has won numerous international photography awards and has served as an international jury member in New York, London, and European in recent years. His work is exhibited at museums and art galleries, and he also serves as an art director for collaborations with music. He also works as a lecturer and is involved in activities to introduce artistic expression into educational settings such as schools.
