The big fish chased the small fish and rushed out of the water together, passing the egret. The egret looked surprised and did not know where the small fish would go under the laws of nature? Just like a poem: I pass by you, you come in a hurry, and before I realize it, you have gone far away, leaving me with a regretful back. Biodiversity fills the Earth with vitality and is also the foundation for human survival and development. Xiaoping Lin, a Chinese bird photographer, has practiced photography since 1992. He has won honors including the CEWE Winner, XPOSURE Fist Place, HIPA Merit Medal, BigPicture Winner, and NBP Winner, etc. His works have been exhibited globally and published in various magazines and books. With a unique perspective, he captures avian ecological details precisely, interpreting life's meaning through the lens. He hopes the natural beauty conveyed by his camera will evoke the public's deep understanding and aesthetic resonance with nature, inspiring them to love and protect the environment.
Awards 1. In 2022, the work ‘Pass By’ won the First Place of the Wildlife group at the XPOSURE International Photography & Film Awards in UAE. He was invited to attend the award ceremony and the work were exhibited at the XPOSURE Photography Festival in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
2. In 2023, the work ‘Pass By’ won the Winner of the Winged Life group at the BigPicture Natural World Photography Competition in the United States, and exhibited at the California Academy of Sciences in the United States.
3. In 2024, the work ‘Fight To Win Or Die’ won the Merit Medal of the Diversity at The 12th season of the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA) in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and was included in the ANNUAL BOOK: DIVERSITY 2022 - 2023.
4. In 2024, the work ‘Skysurfing’ won the Honorable Mention of the World Of Birds group at the 34th Memorial Maria Luisa International Mountain and Nature Photo Contest in Spain. He was invited to participate in the award ceremony, and the work were exhibited in Infiniesto and Oviedo in Asturias.
5. In 2024, the work ‘Pass By’ won the finalist of the exposure award category at the Head On Photo Awards in Australia. He attended the award ceremony, the work was exhibited at the Head On Photo Festival 2024 in Sydney and included in the Head On Photo Awards 2024 book publication.
6. In 2024, the work ‘Pass By’ won the Winner of the bird category at the Nature’s Best Photography International Awards in the United States.
7. In 2024, the work ‘Pass By’ won third place in the wildlife category of the TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest in Romania and was exhibited in Sfantu Gheorghe, Romania.
8. In 2025, the work ‘Jungle Rule’ won the winner in the Nature and Wildlife category at the CEWE Photo Award 2025 in Germany. He was invited to attend the award ceremony held in Prague, Czech Republic, where the work was exhibited at the Kaiserstein Palace in Prague, Czech Republic.
