Faded Ice

While conducting experiments with frozen natural objects and colored ice in a home setting, I observed that a small amount of ice placed in a silicon mold completely disappeared, leaving behind only the molecules of paint and the photographic object. Upon investigating the potential reasons for the ice's disappearance, I discovered that the phenomenon is known as sublimation, wherein ice transforms directly into water vapor (gas) without undergoing the typical melting process.

This sublimation process occurs in frost-free refrigerators in domestic environments.
