For my book project 'Forgotten Heroes', I photographed the world of Dutch crafts. For three years I traveled all over the country in search of the most extraordinary,still existing crafts, to capture them in all their glory.

The craft sector has a huge cultural, social, economic, and environmental impact on their society. But it is a sector threatened with extinction. Many crafts are already on the edge of disappearing.

The series aims to enthuse the new generation about this sector to save it from extinction and help the world on its way to sustainability.
