Traditional architectural photography captures structures as entities that are motionless and at rest. The images presented in this series paints the architectural structures in a reimagined state with unknown trajectories. The common element across all the reimagined states is the deconstruction of the original photo to create mirror images of the vertical and/or horizontal planes of half the structure. These mirror images are then appended to the original half to create an illusion of reflection. Structures are thus converted from static entities to surrealistic images of reimagined states.
I am a photographer and psychologist who resides in Seattle, Washington. I have pursued a career as an international consulting psychologist for over 30 years and I have continuously practiced the art of picture-taking since my adolescence. My work has been displayed in several galleries across the United States. I have published two books of my photography – Water Lilies of the Dance: The Many Faces of La Danse du Ventre (a documentary work of the Mosaic Dance Company of Santa Fe, New Mexico) and Beginnings: Whispers of Love (a work of my poetry on romance accompanied by my photographs).
