This is a series of photographs I took with my iPhone over the last year and a half exploring urban architecture in Washington DC and London - both capital cities, with a lot of power, history, and stunning buildings in their respective countries. However, rather than focus on the conventional scene stealers (cathedrals, monuments, etc), my goal with this work is to emphasize the everyday beauty in both these urban centers, which is often found in more mundane and less obvious places such as ceilings and walkways, and even a garage door!
