Ethereal Moments in the Antarctic Peninsula

In January 2024 I had the privilege to participate in an expedition to the Antarctic Peninsula. Visiting many places, both above the water and beneath the water using a submersible, it becomes quite apparent how fragile Antarctica is and the effects of global warming to the peninsula and the wildlife who call it their temporary home. The weather is always changing and that, combined with the timing of the day, generates lights and shadows that are ethereal.

Based in the United States in Washington State, Stephen is an “opportunistic” photographer, capturing life as it unfolds in his travels. His spontaneous approach results in candid snapshots of the outdoors, people, and diverse cultures, enriching his global perspective.
