25 km is the distance in which Ferrara's seven lidos on the Adriatic Sea are concentrated. An unbroken coastline between the Po delta and the province of Ravenna. I photographed them last winter, fascinated by the dissonance between these modest, popular beaches and the rich, nightlife beaches on the nearby Romagna Riviera. From October to March everything stops with a general demobilization. like a movie set after the last take.
With my landscape research I would like to investigate the contrasts or drifts of reality. Or go in and browse what remains of the set where the film was shot.
I was born in the province of Padua and live in the province of Bologna. My first experiences were in cinema with the making of some short films and then two fiction films, one of which participated in the Venice International Film Festival. These experiences were followed by some collaborations with Italian television.
I have been dedicated to photography for many years. My interest focuses mainly on street photography (understood as anthropological documentation) and on a thorough investigation of "marginal" landscapes.
