When Russia invaded Ukraine on Feburary 23 2022 it launched a wave of extreme human suffering, that has impacted every element of Ukrainian society. Thousands of civilians have been killed and wounded, countless others are living through daily bombardment and violence that in many instances amount to war crimes. Entire neighbourhoods and cities have been destroyed. The invasion caused Europe's largest refugee crisis since World War Two & an unknown number of civilians have enlisted some paying the ultimate sacrifice. These images show the impact on those enduring the unimaginable.
