To find the origin of Christmas you have to go to the plateaus of the Hindu Kush, between Afghanistan and Kashmir where the last pagans live, the Kalachi people. Chaumos Festival, their grandiose winter solstice rite, twelve days that begin with the descent among men of the hermaphrodite god Balimain from the mythical homeland of the Kalash, Tsyam, and conclude with the beginning of the new year.
