As a travelling photographer, I am very interested in capturing photos of what I call Marred Landscapes or Leftover Landscapes.
We leave objects behind in the landscape, big or small, and act as if it didn't really matter and nothing destructive ever happened. Yet, despite the destructive influence on a landscape that should be pristine, the combination of light, landscape and our leftovers sometimes makes for images of eerie beauty. It is a theme I'm working on for years now. The images of this particular series are shot in seven different countries on four continents.
