"Almost Elvis" was shot in Australia, and it is an ongoing project that chronicles the journey of ordinary people of different race and gender as they transform themselves and step into the iconic blue suede shoes of the King of rock and roll, Elvis Presley. Although Elvis never traveled to Australia, festivals and concerts celebrating Elvis are held regularly, and these individuals dedicated to becoming the embodiment of the King. The project showcases the magic and allure of their metamorphosis, capturing the charisma and passion as they bring the spirit of Elvis to life.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, I started my photography journey in 2020. I am a self-taught photographer now based in Sydney, and my works focus on long-term and in-depth documentary photography.
