As the indigenous people of the Amazonia region are facing unprecedented pressures, internal, political but also external, they look to the world outside for help and support. Not to the NGOs and their promises, but to normal, everyday visitors and tourists who they hope will spread the message of who they are and what they stand for. Unfortunately with little experience of how to reach the outside world both they and us are failing to make a difference. And to lose them would be a loss to us all - one nothing will be able to reverse. In some ways, this is worse than losing their habitat.
