Channel Country

Channel Country, a region of outback Australia. (Mithaka Country)

Images taken from a helicopter at 4,000ft display numerous intertwined rivulets that cover the region near the town of Windorah, Queensland.

The country colour change depends on the time of day (light), rain fall and season of the year. The country features an arid landscape with a series of ancient flood plains and with sufficient rain, this catchment flows into Cooper Creek which in turn flows through to Lake Eyre, South Australia.

My intent is to show the variety of unique shapes and colours and thus the beauty of country.
