Aesthetics of decay

Flowers have long been a symbol of beauty and perfection, but what happens when that beauty fades and the petals begin to wither and decay? Through my photography, I seek to capture the fleeting moments of transformation as the organic matter of the flower structure breaks down and transforms into something new.

Nailia Schwarz, born on the 12th of April, 1976, in Sankt Petersburg, attended an art school and got a diploma in art history. She later went on to move to Germany and has been a mostly commercial photographer for 12 years now - she has also attended various workshops, a photography school and self studies.
Since she’s interested in photography as an art form she’s been trying to improve and broaden her horizon by being a student at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design.
