The landscape photo was taken on a dirt road somewhere in the "Great Lonesome" of eastern Oregon. I spotted the dilapidated trailer the year before in the dirt lot of a mini mart near the Salton Sea in CA and couldn't resist taking a photo knowing I'd probably find a use for it later. The outdated satellite antenna was from the roof of our house. I was struck by how fitting the term "Great Lonesome" was for this part of Oregon. I wanted the trailer to look lonely, abandoned and obsolete- as if it had been towed out there and discarded.
