Crossing an intersection in Toronto, Ontario, I noticed the lady smoking in a shadowed area. I turned my camera to photograph her when a man crossing the intersection jumped into the frame. The resulting image is one of his shadow outline dominating the frame.
In my teenage years, the camera, was a way to document the beauty I found in nature. As my photography progressed doing commercial work and taking workshops, my subject matter changed to include a greater documentation of Canadian urban and rural life. These newer photographs were made in a non-perfect, ambiguous, and documentary style.
I pride myself in being a person and photographer who is respectful, polite and humble, although persistent, in finding and sharing interesting photographs. It is of great importance to be a harsh editor, taking my time on a series and only revealing the very
