Here, a room— any structure within, between and surrounding buildings and the natural environment, functions as metaphor in a concept of architecture incorporating time, solitude and the ongoing search for belonging. With obsolete instant camera and expired film I explore my emotional and embodied experience of architecture in self-portraits created with long exposures and direct light flooding my body in quiet hollows of landscapes, abandoned dwellings, and spaces of my home. This architecture contains me and extends my being in the world.
