Conceived as a surreal theatrical narrative in five acts, these environmental portraits were shot in a single session. The story follows Pierrot (played by actor and director Audrey Rumsby), as he tries—and fails—to navigate the modern world.
This series is a parable about isolation, and tells of a world in which other human beings have been replaced by digital abstractions, where loneliness is the new normal. As an artist, I wanted to draw attention to this issue, using the story of Pierrot in the Modern World as a cautionary tale.
