We often wonder what a painting would look like if the story it tells has a sequel. This triggered the creation of this photo series. Inspired by Edward Hopper’s iconic works, this series depicts a young couple’s life before and after they have a child. The solitude and freedom of the two-person world is replaced by the bittersweet busyness and exhaustion of a family of three. Before having children, life is like a boat floating still on a calm lake. When child comes, they bring continuous wind and wave, keeps pushing the boat forward. All we can do is going with the flow.
