The photographic project "She Said", narrates through visual storytelling the emotional connection between a winter swimmer and the sea. The shots were taken in March 2023 at the end of winter.
When Ypatia met Eleni, she said she had a seabed inside her. She said that when she dives into its depth, it is because she is looking for a bouquet of flowers to rise together to the surface. She continued by saying that if anything happens to her while she is in the sea, she will be gone happy.
Ypatia Kornarou was born in Athens where she takes pictures and lives. She firstly studied economics and continued her studies in photography.
The year 2023 was a creative one as her works took part in international group exhibitions in the heart of Europe, at the center of art and culture: Paris – Imagenation Paris, London – Rosl Royal Arts
In March 2024 she held her first solo exhibition entitled “Phenomenon” in Russia, in the city of Nizhny Tagil at Gallery Space Place. On June 2nd, the photography exhibition “Phenomenon” will transfer to the Museum of Fine Arts in Nizhny Tagil, Russia.
