Rainbow terraces descend a slope in Yuanyang, Yunnan. Unique personalities of color and pattern form from algae and soil composition. A single mountain stream sews this tapestry of earthwork together—flowing from holes in embankments, pool to pool. I’d been following a stream which brought me deeper into the fields. I used my drone to capture the array of colorful terraces and captured a woman in pink walking the embankment between two pools.
