Walid is an amputee from Sudan. On his way back from school he was shot in the back of the leg. When we woke his leg had been amputated.
Since coming to the UK and receiving a new prothetic leg he has begun to train as a paralympic sprinter and also medical training as prosthetist. His personal knowledge of using a prothetic limb and about PLP(phantom limb pain), will be such an asset in his new career as Prothetist.
He is part of my new project "Phantom" about Phantom limb pain in athletes.
