After years of exploring motion, both peaceful and chaotic, in my underwater series I’m spending more time above the surface but still trying to use my favorite aesthetic of high-contrast natural light images. The themes sometimes still contain water as a cleansing or renewing medium, but I also have started exploring the use of light with my subjects seeking or reaching for a higher place, self, or ideal even if it seems unobtainable.
I graduated from Bucknell University with a major in English and a minor in Chemistry. I worked at Barnes & Noble for four years and currently pay the bills as a nuclear medicine technologist. The rest of my time is devoted to my various cats. My ultimate dream would be to go to Mars, but in the meantime I do this photography thing.
