When visiting Merewether Ocean Baths in Newcastle (NSW, Australia) I always feel like I am stepping into a bubble of tranquility untouched by the world's difficulties. This series reveals perfectly the sense of calm I experienced as the sun dipped to reveal pastel skies on the clear winter evening.

Based in Sydney, French-Australian photographer Stephane Thomas enjoys seeing the world through the lens of a camera.

His interests range across many genres from landscape, architecture, aerial to environmental portraits.

He is particularly fascinated by the possibilities that black and white photography offers, allowing him to magnify a subject while pushing back less essential elements.
