The photographs in this series represent the minimalism we see in rural settings during the winter months in our Nordic climates. It is important for me to document these unique landscapes, especially with the environmental challenges we are facing, which are directly impacting these ecosystems. Indeed, shorter winters, reduced snowfall, higher temperatures, rising waters and melting ice are unfortunately the new reality. With this work, I hope to grow awareness towards the fragility of these areas of our planet we often don’t live in, and that therefore, we tend to forget.
