Much of my recent work has been motivated by a longing to capture the essence of my subject and I am getting closer to realising that with some of my recent work. This minimalistic perspective is one that I am very drawn to.
The First Snow series embodies this aim without the loss of atmosphere, form and shape that I feel are so important to my art.
In this set of images, the tones of the tree match those of the watering hole and create a relationship, just as they do in nature, providing a place for cattle to take shelter and drink water.
