I’m an American portrait photographer living in California. Like many people today I’m shocked with what is happening today in Ukraine. I was born in Russia, have many friends over there and I feel the war as very personal. I’m processing my emotions through self-portraits. I choose bright colors and glamor style for such a dramatic theme because so many Russians support the war and act like nothing bad is happening.
