Fear & Loathing in Masked Faces

Years now, of pandemic, and sorting out how to feel on any given day has become a task that is often beyond the best of us. Masks have saved lives, shielded us from threats, and become a major symbol in American political discourse.

Something seemingly so simple has become a complex minefield of daily life. Do I take precautions to help keep those around me safe? Am I making enemies with the choice I make today? Can we ever agree on anything again?

Are the masks the thing to be feared?

Matt Anderson is a commercial photographer specializing in spaces, faces and places. His background (a degree in Civil Engineering and work as a construction project manager) gives Matt and his clients a common vocabulary. His insatiable curiosity and attention to detail create bold, purposeful, elegant images.
