The image series is illustrating an interview with Vera Segova, an internationally acclaimed ballet dancer.
The images are supposed to show the seemingly effortless movements while at the same time give a feeling of the hard work leading up to it. Using floating, airy and sometimes cloud like outfits supports the attempt to capture the movement of the performance in still pictures. To emphasize the contrast of weightless dancing and hard work we we contrasted the airy outfits with a location almost like a factory and pictured her worn out shoes.
