The coral spawning season begins from April to May in Taiwan. In Kenting, one of the popular dive sites in Taiwan, the timing of coral spawning is stable and can be predictable. This year, I had the chance to witness many corals releasing their eggs and sperms synchronically in Kenting. The strength of coral and their desire to reproduce offspring deeply touched me. Particularly, a massive coral bleaching event happened in 2020 and caused the death of nearly 30% of coral reefs in Taiwan. The massive spawning of coral brings new hope to our Ocean.
