The trans-Himalayan region of Ladakh, at an average altitude of 5000 metres, is a desert where only the hardiest of life manages to survive. Its winters are especially harsh, with frequent storms, and daytime temperatures frequently dropping to minus 30 degrees Celsius. But windswept valleys and barren expanses don’t always add up to desolation. This series captures the stunning, surreal beauty even “nothingness” can offer, when snow, ice and light join forces
