Homage to the Masters

We live in a world that exalts the superficial. Structures are demolished without regret; much like how a child knocks over a sandcastle. But now and then, there are exceptions that transcend time.

In this series I am honoring the permanence of iconic architecture: from a basilica in Venice, to The Gapstow Bridge, to the iconic Manhattan Bridge to Missions in San Antonio. These architectural masterpieces are not temporary, but timeless and these images celebrate the artistry of their builders and artisans.

As a budding architecture student, he embarked on an odyssey crisscrossing the expanse of the United States, encapsulating the very essence of iconic architectural marvels through his discerning lens. It was within the immersive tapestry of this journey that his fervor for photography melded seamlessly with his deep affection for the constructed and natural world. His photographic perspective, honed through the lens of an architect, emphasized aesthetics and the multidimensional nature of his subjects.
