There was several stages required to capture this image- the old Singer sewing machine was found laying out in the rain at the old wares store. Dodo the magpie pigeon was desensitised to the prop in the aviary initially and then trained to sit on the item in the studio. the final stage was waiting for Dodo to become comfortable enough to tuck his leg up - as if it had been stitched up.
