My practice is a process of self-reflection. I try to redefine the meaning of “loneliness” and “beauty,” exploring the tension and relationship between the two. The feeling of loneliness is one that I am all too familiar with. The locations are usually ones that look simultaneously familiar and foreign to me. I am drawn to old places that seem to have a history and reveal something beyond the frame. I want to preserve this beautiful aesthetic that will soon disappear. When everything moves fast and keeps changing, we lose the past.
