I was inspired to take this photo by the "Baltic Abyss" beer from the Solipiwko Brewery. The label, designed by Flov Brand Design Studio from Wroclaw (Poland), refers to marine legends about treasures submerged at the bottom of the sea, guarded by demons and ghosts.
To capture the image I used the technique of underwater Ink photography and CGI. The bottle had mounted elements imitating the shape of the squid’s tentacles, because I wanted the ink to physically react and shape itself in the right way. The tentacle elements have been replaced by 3D models in post-production.
Lukasz Mazurkiewicz is a photographer based in Wroclaw, Poland, where he running his own studio specializing in product photography. In his images he cares for the smallest details, trying different techniques to bring out the best of the subject and interest the viewer eyes.
Lukasz is also professional French horn player of the Wroclaw Opera, who successfully combines passion for photographing and music.
