Halfway Down The Stairs

Stairways represent steps to a destination, nowhere and infinity. A beginning, transition or the end. The symbolism and psychology behind it - particularly in dreams - are legion.

"Halfway Down the Stairs", a song based on a poem by Winnie the Pooh creator A.A. Milne. The version sung by Robin the Frog is my favourite and always makes me smile.

In this collection, each step takes the subject on a journey or provides a place to pause.

I am a solicitor by profession and I live in London.

My creativity comes through experimenting and lateral application. Particularly, exploring the potential of light, motion, shadows and reflections - expressing fine art photography in abstract, creative, ICM, architecture, urban street and night photography - to evoke emotion, wonder and curiosity.

My images often present themselves from a vantage point I don't see with my eyes, but through my lens… often moody, mysterious, meaningful.

My photography pushes boundaries and break rules. Seeking out the extraordinary in the ordinary.
