Social and Political Crisis in Chile
At the end of 2019, in Chile, with the rise in the price of the subway, there were protests that had not been seen for 30 years. To this day, in Santiago, clashes between police and protesters continue, as something even common, although with less intensity due to the coronavirus pandemic and the resolution of a new constitution. Despite that agreement, people are not calm. The high cost of living, the pension system, injustice and above all, political inefficiency and excess police force are the main reasons. People don't trust politicians or the police. And the protests don't seem to end.
