I’m currently working on a photobook to show life through my child’s eyes who was diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum when we moved to New York in 2012. I’m showing the way Gabriel sees, approaches and comprehends the world around him. I want to reveal his vision and the elegance of his personality. There is a music in his gestures, in the way he holds his head, gathers his attention, and often, it’s impossible not to feel touched, pushed to some mysterious emotional edge. I’m representing that ineffable quality with photographs that are conceptual, abstract, and also realistic in their depiction
