Nomadic pastoralists in danger due to enduring droughts
In Turkana, North West Kenya and neighbouring Karamoja, North East Uganda, semi-nomadic pastoralists suffer from more and more severe drouthgts. This region is one of the fastest warming places on earth due to climate change. From february on a lack of rains kills animals, brings diseases and weakens people. As the pastoralists search further for grazing land, conflicts worsen at the borders with cattle raids and killings. As climate change worsens, the situation of the semi-nomadic people is becomming extremely vulnerable.
