Conversations with myself is a series of 50+ self portraits where I embody a woman of the 1950’s as link to my personal history. I channel my mother and women of every era who have and continue to suppress their voices for the good of others. The costumes and props represent a connection to their previous owners, as I share the experience of presenting myself as they would have, and channel the constraints they felt.
