This was part of a project that focused on the layering aspects of photography. I shot images digitally then manipulated and composited them in photoshop to make one image I then photographed using 35mm film. I then manipulated the image in the darkroom to make the blacked out portions of the image. The whole process resulted in a reflection on what it means to layer, conceal and overwhelm oneself in the name of protection. All this comes to the realization that the process of concealing is in fact showcasing a more intimate view of my psyche.
