  • Prize
    Bronze in Architecture/Buildings

The picture shows the Hippodrome in Madrid, from 1941.
I took the architecture out of its context and put it in a different light in order to give it a unique selling point.

My profession is architect and my passion is photography. For my artistic work I often use architecture without wanting to be an architectural photographer. I detach the objects from the context and thus from reality. The pictorial information is radically reduced to direct the gaze to the composition. Light and shadow strengthen the spatial depth and create the character of my work.
