As an uprooted person, this series is an introspective inquiry about validity of (my) relationships. It meant to be a metaphor for (my) life. Like a play, each corridor of light in the city is an act. A scene. I am shooting these images imagining that these pedestrians were actors who were all the time entering and exiting the city stage. Fade to black. Gone. As gone as the friendships I left behind after each move. While the verticality of my photographs portrays a North American city, my blacks are not merely shadow but voids - as void as the memory of me in their mind...
